Adelson DECA’s Chapter Leadership Team represents the heart of our program-driven, innovative students dedicated to growing our chapter, supporting members, and leading by example. Through collaboration, creativity, and commitment, our officers and advisors ensure that every member has the opportunity to learn, lead, and achieve. Together, they embody DECA’s mission of preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for success in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management.
The 2025-2026 Advising team helped qualify a record 51% of SCDC participants for the International Conference!
Mr. White serves as a DECA Advisor and Business Department Chair at The Adelson School. He is a proud graduate of the University of Arizona, holding a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and a Master of Science in Agricultural Education. Before joining Adelson, Mr. White taught AP Micro & Macroeconomics and CTE Marketing in Arizona, where he successfully guided numerous students to become DECA international finalists and, at one point, served as the youngest Lead advisor within the DECA organization. At Adelson, he teaches middle and high school business, financial math, and AP Macroeconomics. He is passionate about creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that connect classroom concepts to real-world business applications, with a special love for the Sports and Entertainment Team Decision Making event. Outside of teaching, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, and playing video games. In 2025-2026, Mr. White, with the assistance of the other advisors, set a chapter record of qualifying 51% of the chapter for the International Career Development Conference.
Mr. Mendelsohn is a well-rounded educator at The Adelson School, where he teaches both English and Business. Outside of the classroom, he serves as the Co-Founder and Director of Code Central in the Las Vegas area, bringing over 25 years of experience in education and program development. He holds a Master of Arts in English and has played a pivotal role in developing computer science, cultural training, and other educational programs. He was a member of the Nevada Department of Education’s K–12 Computer Science Standards writing team. He was awarded as "Outstanding Community Partner" by the Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada, and was awarded the Vegas Top Tech Executive "Community Exemplary” award. Beyond his professional endeavors, Mr. Mendelsohn enjoys playing music, listening to podcasts, and watching documentaries.
